Mariana and Alejandro came to Las Vegas from Brazil to get married in the desert and Las Vegas was grateful , so much so the skies gave them a Las Vegas type show.
Our friend and excellent Make Up Artist Claribel Tovar www.claribeltovar.com went to Mariana’s room and did an awesome job , so much so Alejandro ask to get a touch up too. We picked them up and took them to one of our favorite spots minutes from strip .
Then we went to the Strip for our Photo Tour . They had so much fun and really enjoyed all the crowds shouting “ Congratulations “ and telling them what a beautiful couple they were .

There was this episode in the Big Bang Theory ( a popular tv show in the USA), Sheldon (a character in the show) describes a wedding date (the 12th of May) as romantic because it has a specific property to Math and Science ( he is a senior theoretical physicist) and i am not smart enough to explain why .
This got me thinking of my upcoming weddings in 2020 ( yes you should start to book soon as it seems 2020 will be a wedding packed year or you thought only you saw the 2020 and said BINGO ).
There are many significant dates associated with weddings. Some popular dates are those with symmetry, others the traditional , many with personal meaning and memories. 2020 is FULL of them all.
I compiled a list of such dates. Hopefully, it can help you find a date that will click to you and help you create wonderful memories.

If you are from a different country you may write your dates different and have more combination, if you use the day-month-year format ( most of the world does ) you have a whole new set like 12-8-20. I am not going to list them all but you get the idea.

Ultimately the date is not as important as the couple , but it could be part of the memory and be a cute , specific or joke that will last until the end of time.

SENIOR MALE PORTRAIT SESSIONS SHOULD BE FUN
Over the past year, I have done several senior male portrait sessions (and yes, I do do them). Now, I definitely don’t do nearly as many senior guys as girls, but I have definitely found it fun photographing guys.
I have to admit, in the beginning, I was intimidated and wasn’t sure I wanted to include senior guy options. People always say Boys are awkward and do not respond well to posing , am I glad I changed my mind.
Of course, the experience is different from my senior girl portrait experience, but I began to realize that just like parents want their daughters to have this experience, they also want their sons to have this experience and record this memory.
I always suggest bringing at least one dressier outfit, along with more casual ones that the guys are more comfortable in. I absolutely loved when they keep it simple and just bring their personality . I feel like no matter the session is, it is always important to incorporate their passions, which can be football , Baseball , Cars or Dance.
Help them tell their story the guide them to bring out the best in them .

4 Question about photography every couple should ask before booking a Las Vegas Chapel
There seems to be one main Sticky Point when it comes to Destination Weddings here in Las Vegas and it is the whole subject of " Chapel ( Venue ) Photography". There are so many Good, Bad, Ugly, Wonderful, Horrifying, Amazing stories that I would not know where to begin.
Each chapel has their methods and ways of how they run this part of their business. But I believe there is a set of Question every couple should ask before and get the responses in WRITING before booking a chapel in order to not get surprises and then feel cheated or tricked.
I will try my best to give you those questions.
1- When you say I will be getting ( or receiving ) a Photo Session / Photo Shoot / Posed Session - What do you mean when you say " getting ( or receiving ) "
I know this may seem like a simple thing but did you know that many chapels refer to Photo Session / Photo Shoot / Posed Session to the time the photographer takes in taking the photos and when they say you will get a Photo Session / Photo Shoot / Posed Session it’s referring only to this time nor that you will get any of these photos unless you purchase them after.
Have the Chapel explain each item you will receive in details what it is you will be getting in writing so you can understand exactly what to expect . Because it may not be worth your time to do it if you are not interested in buying them after.
2- When you say I will be getting ( or receiving ) X amount of Digital Ceremony Photos - When do you consider the Ceremony Starts and Ends?
Some chapels offer a 1st dance - champagne toast - cake cutting and even Family Portraits at the altar. These moments may be considered non-ceremony and you may need to buy these photos ( frustrating right ). Ask them to be clear on what is the ceremony, when it starts , when it ends and whats photos are part of it.
3- When you say I will be getting ( or receiving ) X amount Professional Digital Photos - What Resolution will I get them ( or ask up to what size can I print them in Good Quality ) and will they have any watermark.
Some chapels offer Digital Photos but in such low resolution that a standard 8x10 print ( letter size ) looks pretty bad. This is a very important question to ask if you plan on printing later on. Or give them to you with a watermark . They may later offer high resolution or watermark-less for an extra fee.
4- When you say "If I pay $X I can bring my own Photographer" make sure to have them list what and where is it permitted to shoot and what and where is not.
Some chapels permit outside photographers for a fee but limit very tightly the scope, places and times permitted to shoot ( some go as far as to say you paid the fee but that excluded the ceremony.). Also, ask if the photographer or videographer will need to bring their COI (certificate of insurance) as they may ask you the day of when you get there ready to get married the photographer or videographer may not have it on them ( they can probably get it online as they should hold insurance if they are professionals ) and if they don't they will not let them shoot and you may lose your fee.
Don’t get me wrong chapels are not these bad companies run by bad people, No , far from it . But sometimes in the way they promote the business they do not add these little details that later become points of frustration. I hope in asking these question when your wedding is said and done and you get your photos you are as happy as the day they were taken.

Why not give your guest a fun why to entertain themselves and release some of the stress ( yeah guest get stressed at weddings too, the waiting , get dressed , etc ... )
Why not fill some of the dead time with an activity that is fun , no need for you to setup ( if you hire the right professional like us ) , especially during that pre-reception boredom .
Why not use the photo booth prints as the best wedding favors . One thing i have learned people do not throw away their photos or photos of their love ones ( of their Exs that is a different story for a different blog ) they keep them for ever , 5 , 8 , 10 years later those photos will still be around and people will still remember fondly your wedding day .
Why not give your guest the opportunity to loosen up and have fun . Come on the right props with, the right attendant ( like we have always ) your guest will be laughing and having a great time , even those that do not dance , nor drink , nor really like to have fun , enjoy the photo booth .
