SENIOR MALE PORTRAIT SESSIONS SHOULD BE FUN

Over the past year, I have done several senior male portrait sessions (and yes, I do do them). Now, I definitely don’t do nearly as many senior guys as girls, but I have definitely found it fun photographing guys.

I have to admit, in the beginning, I was intimidated and wasn’t sure I wanted to include senior guy options. People always say Boys are awkward and do not respond well to posing , am I glad I changed my mind.

Of course, the experience is different from my senior girl portrait experience, but I began to realize that just like parents want their daughters to have this experience, they also want their sons to have this experience and record this memory.

I always suggest bringing at least one dressier outfit, along with more casual ones that the guys are more comfortable in. I absolutely loved when they keep it simple and just bring their personality . I feel like no matter the session is, it is always important to incorporate their passions, which can be football , Baseball , Cars or Dance.

Help them tell their story the guide them to bring out the best in them .
